As part of this workshop Virginia took the group along to her studio in Sunderland.
I found the afternoon really interesting, we learnt about surface preparation, what is oil paint and discovered the uses for other oil media, including Damar Varnish and Cold Wax Paste. It was great to see some of Virginia’s paintings and hear her talk about her methods behind the work.
The workshop proved very inspiring !
